Work, work, work. All day long.

Yesterday was beyond hectic. Today isn't far from it, either. Being productive feels great, especially when it's beneficial to you, your major and your college; however, at some point, it should be OK to slow down. Everyone thinks their time is so much more valuable than the next person's that it makes for a competitive, stressful environment. And if you want to succeed, you have to deal with it.

Today, in Entrepreneurship in the Music Industry, we watched some very fast-paced, informative videos on TED.com. This was one of my favorites:

Dear Timberland

First of all (and most importantly), you recognize that you're vulnerable in your current setting, which is a good thing. Just like anyone who's unhappy, you have to decide what it is that you want to change (in your case, it's your identity, or whatever makes you want to hide it), and then truly let it go. Yes, it's scary. But that's only because you're finally taking your mask off to reveal your genuine personality, and you're uncertain - maybe even dreading -  how people may react to the "new" you. I can tell you this much, though: if you're unhappy with who you are, there's a pretty good chance other people see that and aren't totally thrilled by you, either. So, if you're so eager to please, then at least make sure you're pleasing yourself first. If you're happy with who you are, then everyone else will be. Meanwhile, don't let anyone take you for granted. Especially if they're wearing Timberlands. Those can be dangerous.

Thoughts/questions/concerns/jokes/judgments/approvals/appraisals? Leave 'em here.

Once I publish this first post, I will officially have popped my blogger cherry. This is such a big step!

...aaand I'm ready.

I really just needed to write a post so that you would have something to comment on. So, like I said before, leave your thoughts here so we can get this thing going. If you don't have any thoughts, feel free to just tell me how your day is going. Or what you ate for breakfast.
